<p>Good afternoon faithful followers!</p>
<p>We are shutting down the studios for the weekend to do some renovations and get ready for some major changes this weekend!  That&#8217;s right, the promised time has come and we will be moving into our own with our grand website launch!</p>
<p>We will start the festivities off today by announcing our studio reconstruction project!</p>
<p>Currently our studio is little more then a spare room in our house.  One computer, two monitors, a webcam, and some microphones.   As you have seen in some of our video podcasts, we have poor lighting and only a little room to work with.</p>
<p>Well, during the holiday weekend, while the wife and kids are away, I am rennovating this room and turning it into a full on podcast production studio!  New lighting will be installed, a new camera for high quality video podcasts posted a few days after the original taping, and a new newsdesk!  Not to mention we will now have a seperate desk for special guests and staff who just want to stop by and say hi!</p>
<p>Also, during the times the studio is &#8220;live&#8221; (ie: When we working on reviews, preparing for a podcast, etc), we will have a live camera on our newsdesk!</p>
<p>As a special treat to you, our viewers, listeners, and readers, here is a listing of our podcasts, when they are on the air, and when they are available for download:</p>
<p><strong>NoWorriesWeekly</strong><br />
Hosted by Keith and Abe, this weekly show explores all the video game news of the week and digs into gaming trends, issues affecting gamers, and overall balancing your real life with your game playing.  NoWorriesWeekly will air live on Sundays at 8pm CST, starting September 12th, 2010.  Audio podcasts will be available on Monday, and video podcasts will be available wednesday.   Repeats will be aired on Gamer Network Radio.</p>

Eric: Fear is a condition and is therefore removable by anything that removes conditions. How often fear can be used depends entirely on the skill that inflicts it, so it will vary from skill to skill. Boss monsters are currently immune to fear, but this is something that we are constantly balancing.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>
<p>Izzy: Currently, fear lasts 2 to 5 seconds in PvE and 2 seconds in PvP, but these are just the current numbers and we’ll continue to refine and balance them as we keep playing.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>
<p><strong>Q: How will fear work in PvP? I don’t like losing control of my character, and it seems like fear may make my play experience frustrating and unenjoyable.<br />

<p>Eric: As Izzy alluded to, we’ll have different balance for skills in PvE and PvP, so it’s very likely that skills that cause fear will function slightly differently in the two game types. Fear is similar to a knockdown or stun in the way it disables your character for a short period of time. In some ways, fear is less powerful than knockdown, since it’s a condition, and it can be effected by anything that affects conditions.  Knockdowns, on the other hand, can only be affected by things that specifically affect knockdowns.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>

<p><strong>Q: The necromancer article seems to imply that you can only have one minion of each type active, since summoning it swaps the skill out for a minion bomber skill. Is that true?<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Izzy: Some skills such a Bone Minions can give you three minions, plus an additional two using traits. You can also have a Blood Fiend and a Bone Fiend.  Keep in mind we haven’t revealed all the necro minions yet!																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>

<p>Izzy: Yes, anytime you unequip a utility skill you lose all benefit from that skill – including minions.</p>
<p><strong>Q: Are minion models tied to the spell used to summon them (like in Guild Wars) or to the type of corpse that it was raised from?<br />

</strong><strong>Q: Would you consider some PvE only tweaks to further spice it up, like making necros slightly more powerful during in-game nighttime than in bright sunlight?<br />

<p>Eric: We wouldn’t want to do anything to make a player feel like they should only play a particular race or profession in a limited set of circumstances, so I don’t think we’d do this sort of thing. That being said, we do have items that act differently at night versus during the day. The key difference is that item choice is a much more short term choice whereas race and profession are long term choices.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>
<p><strong>Q: Is there any limit to how many marks I can place?<br />

<p>Eric: When you place a mark, the skill switches to an “activate mark” skill. <p>Eric: Life Siphon is a timed skill that drains life for a short period of time, and then recharges. <p>Eric: Some of them were generated for the video and some of them are in the game. We tend to use the videos as sound concept tests though, so it is very likely that you’ll hear many of those sounds while playing the game.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>

<p>Eric: Absolutely. <p><strong>Q: Reading up on Ghosts of Ascalon, I wonder if what some of Killeen did in the book will somehow manifest itself in the game, or if that was simply a loose literary translation of necromancer abilities?<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Eric: Some of what Killeen does in the book will be reflected in the game (quite accurately). However, some of what she does is a pretty loose interpretation of in-game necromantic capabilities.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>
<p><strong>Q: What is that brilliant-looking skill used at the beginning of the Life Siphon video?<br />

<p><strong>Q: You mentioned bleeding in the skill Grasping Dead. How does bleeding stack in Guild Wars 2? Is it just additional duration, or is it an additional health loss per second?<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Izzy: You can have up to nine bleeds on a target and each does some damage per second.																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																																															</p>

<p>Here is the full biography and power list that has been revealed:</p>
<p><strong>Axel Steel:</strong> Determined to unearth the cryptic origins of Metal, Axel has toured long across the globe studying the ways of the ancients. But the ancients have plans for him as well…<br />
<strong>Warrior Axel Steel:</strong> Axel emerges as an embodiment of the undying nature of rock. His music now guided by the wisdom of the ages, he wonders if this new power is a blessing or a curse.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Resurrector+ (earn 5 Ankhs to instantly resurrect you. Save Ankhs to earn extra Power Stars)</p>
<p><strong>Casey Lynch:</strong> Already a warrior in the eyes of many, the indomitable Casey needs only to take one final step to achieve her greatest feat.<br />
<strong>Warrior Casey Lynch:</strong> The scales that armor her skin now reflecting her inner strength, Casey is completely prepared for battle, body and soul.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Streak Guardian+ (2 Shields guard your streak. Long streaks earn 5 extra Power Stars)</p>
<p><strong>Judy Nails:</strong> Judy&#8217;s exuberance has carried her far in life, but it is supported by her exemplary skill, which will soon be put to the ultimate test<br />
<strong>Warrior Judy Nails:</strong> Finally attaining her altered state, Judy grins and grips her instrument with impish glee, eager to flex her new-found powers onstage.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Crowd Hyper+ (Rock Meter starts maxed. Overflow Rock Meter to earn 5 extra Power Stars)</p>
<p><strong>Johnny Napalm:</strong> Johnny&#8217;s energy is boundless, but unfocused and wild. Given a greater goal, though, he could bring his tempestuous nature to bear.<br />
<strong>Warrior Johnny Napalm:</strong> Johnny has ceased to care about authenticity, self, or anything aside from the sound. In his true form, he sees with the clarity that comes only by embracing chaos.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Speed Freak+ (2x minimum multiplier that rises quickly. Stay over 3x to earn 5 extra Power Stars)</p>
<p><strong>Lars Ümlaut:</strong> Lars has earned many loyal supporters, fans who have followed him across the globe, but will they accompany him to a still stranger place?<br />
<strong>Warrior Lars Ümlaut:</strong> Lars has dug deep within his soul and tapped into his most primitive nature. What has emerged is no longer even human, but Lars feels this new form suits him well.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Multiplier Extender+ (max multiplier is 6x instead of 4x)</p>
<p><strong>Pandora:</strong> Pandora has spent a lifetime studying music theory, history, and technique. All her knowledge will now be brought to bear in her ultimate assignment.<br />
<strong>Warrior Pandora:</strong> Her transformation complete, Pandora meditates on the forthcoming showdown, for which she has never felt more ready.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Star Power Nova+ (Star Power multiplier is 6x instead of 2x)</p>
<p><strong>Echo Tesla:</strong> Driven by an insatiable desire to create, Echo has bent many a machine to her will, but this night she will perform her greatest feat of technological mastery.<br />
<strong>Warrior Echo Tesla:</strong> Fused with the machines she has surrounded herself with, Echo has never felt more alive, empowered, and ready to rock.<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Star Power Generator+ (get 10% Star Power for every 10-note streak)</p>
<p><strong>Austin Tejas:</strong> Surrounded by his possessions, Austin still feels and emptiness inside. He&#8217;s avoided the spotlight so far, but his feet are on the path.<br />
<strong>Warrior Austin Tejas:</strong> Austin has shed all worldly cares along with his corporeal form. His spirit is unshackled at last!<br />
<strong>Warrior Power:</strong> Star Power Amplifier+ (Star Power earned from phrases is 4x normal amount) </p>

<p>“Jimmy&#8217;s Vendetta”, the second DLC pack for Mafia II,  will be hitting the PSN and XBLM on September 7th.  The addon will cost 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.</p>
<p>This new addon will give players an alternate perspective of the mob through the eyes of the guy the other guys call when they need a job finished.  Get dirty helping Jimmy clean up messes in Empire Bay.  With thirty new quests, including assasination and timed pursuits, Jimmy&#8217;s Vendetta gives players arcade-style gameplay with leaderboards by allowing players to complete their quests with the most flair possible.  Executie with a head shot! Use charged explosives!  Use high jumps and precision power slides in vehicles!  Then show everyone how you are the top clean up man in the business.</p>
